Terms of Service

Last updated: July 18, 2025

1.Your Agreement with PagerBolt

By creating an account, accessing the PagerBolt API, or placing widgets on your site or app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not accept the Terms, do not use PagerBolt.

2.The Service

PagerBolt is an “alert relay” that receives inbound messages (e‑mail, webhooks, SMS) and sends outbound notifications (Slack, Microsoft Teams, push, SMS, voice). We may add or remove features at any time.

3.Account & API Keys

  • You are responsible for safeguarding your API keys.
  • You must provide accurate contact and billing information.
  • You will not share login credentials or keys outside your organisation.

4.Acceptable Use

You may not:

  • Violate laws (e.g., spam, phishing, illegal content).
  • Overload the system with unreasonable traffic (rate limits are published in the docs).
  • Reverse‑engineer or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service.
  • Use PagerBolt in life‑support or mission‑critical systems where failure could lead to death or personal injury without a separate, signed agreement.

5.Fees & Credits

Plans, prices, and included “Notify‑Credits” are listed on the Pricing page. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle. For overages, we will charge the payment method on file at the then‑current rate.

6.Service Level

We target ≥99.9% monthly API availability and “seconds‑level” delivery, but provide the service as‑is until our SLA is formally published. Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced on our Status page.

7.Data Ownership

You retain all rights to the payloads you send through PagerBolt. You grant us a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the service.

8.Termination

You may cancel at any time via the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or fail to pay within 15 days of the invoice date.

9.Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. PagerBolt’s total liability will not exceed amounts you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim.

10.Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be e‑mailed to the account owner at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict‑of‑law provisions. All disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
